Grace Marr — Founder & Chair
Grace Marr is a Jamaican entrepreneur and community advocate dedicated to empowering rural families through education, connectivity, and compassion. She is now expanding the Jamaica Respect Foundation to help rebuild Jamaica with respect and digital dignity after the devastation of Hurricane Melissa. Grace leads JRF’s outreach and literacy partnerships with HEART/NSTA Trust, ensuring that women, parents, and elders gain the skills to participate in Jamaica’s digital future.
Scott Cathcart — Co-Founder
Scott Cathcart is an entrepreneur, strategist, and humanitarian with over two decades of experience leading cross-border ventures in technology, health, and sustainable infrastructure. He has served as a Board Member for the University of Virginia’s $5 billion “Honor the Future” campaign and as an Advisor to its Gift Planning Council, supporting education and civic engagement. Scott also worked with the World Compassion Initiative and Stanford University’s CCARE to advance compassion-based social innovation. At JRF, he leads governance, fundraising, and partnerships to scale connectivity, learning, and verified relief throughout Jamaica.
Blix — Co-Founder Education Programs
Blix identified the need and launched the Respect Foundations learning initiative bringing Starlink internet to rural schools in Jamaica. He monitors the Starlink, ensuring the right plan is in place and that the system is running properly. After Hurricane Merissa all new equipment was donated by Starlink and is being reinstalled. The program has been a huge success creating school-centered community hubs and digital equality. Blix is work on the project’s expansion to fifty schools and post-hurricane rebuilding efforts. He has also worked with Cambiando Vida in Lavapie, Dominican Republic to provide community members with shelter, food, clothing, and built a two-room home for a family in the village.
Emily — Junior Ambassador
Emily joined the Respect pilot team as a student volunteer, assisting with community outreach and digital literacy activities during the Starlink installation in Cockpit Country. She is deeply committed to education, environmental awareness, and helping children in rural communities access the digital tools they need to succeed. Emily continues to advocate for youth engagement and learning as part of JRF’s growing ambassador program.
